About the Job – Utility Worker – Housekeeping Services
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the Utility Worker maintains the cleanliness of the hospital.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade 12/GED or equivalent work experience required.
- Effective communication skills.
- Preference will be given to applicants with cleaning and floor care experience.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

Summary:
The Utility Worker – Housekeeping Services is responsible for providing general cleaning and maintenance services in assigned areas of the property. This includes cleaning floors, walls, furniture, fixtures, and equipment; emptying trash cans; and performing other cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain assigned areas of the property, including floors, walls, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Empty trash cans and remove trash from the property.
- Perform other cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Head Housekeeper.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a cleaning or maintenance position.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
